BRIDGE IS | an organization with a dream, that one day, Fort Pierce, Florida would have no inner city.  Our mission is to transform the inner city, one neighborhood at a time.  Bridge uses a holistic approach that focuses on developing healthy neighborhoods through four main areas, community building, family support, housing and partnerships.

FAMILY SUPPORT - PROGRAMS

Bridge recognizes that communities are only as strong as the individuals and families that live in them.  The north Fort Pierce residents are part of our extended Bridge family.  We get at the heart of the family structure by creating consistent, interactive venues to connect and engage families.  Our goal is to provide a strong support network that can help address gaps in family structure and character development.

COMMUNITY BUILDING - EVENTS

Neighbors who know each other are more likely to help each other.  At Bridge, we host community outreach events.  These events help to engage residents and as neighbors interact with each other, a natural support network for the community is built.  Our approach also allows us to help the community understand what types of programs they can access for different services available.

HOUSING - A LIGHTHOUSE IN THE CITY

Through its partnerships, Bridge renovates and places families in homes that become Lighthouses.  Lighthouse families become neighborhood advocates by coordinating positive community-building activities.  A Lighthouse is a safe and encouraging home where a harmonious relationship of residents works alongside one another to build a strong neighborhood and a great city.  Placing families in Lighthouses is a simple strategy to being the eyes and ears of the community.

PARTNERSHIPS - THE ESSENTIAL PIECE

Our partner businesses, churches and individuals are the powerhouse behind everything that we do.  We believe that increased collaboration is essential in transforming the inner city.  Volunteers help with everything we do in community building events, family support programs and housing renovation.  Bridge's efforts, as well as the economic impact, are multiplied through the generosity and commitment of our partnerships and volunteers.
